THE COMPANY ACTIVITIES PROJECTS MEDIAS Exploration and production of submarine fresh water springs

Nymphea Water’s activities are based upon age-old knowledge of fresh water springs under the sea.
2000 years ago on the island of Ruad (today’s Syria), the Phoenicians built a system to collect water from submarine springs that supplied the city of Amrit.

Most of the submarine springs are old land springs
Freshwater springs in the sea can be found all over the world where the coastline is mainly formed by limestone. Fresh water travels in an aquifer situated in the subsoil of the shore and following channels beneath the level of the sea to surface in depths..Springs can take many shapes and forms.
As fresh water is not as dense as salt water, it rises to the surface. .Springs can be seen from the surface as a smooth or bubbling ripple.

Taking all eventualities into consideration
In certain parts of the world, scarcity of water is a matter of national importance.
Once the techniques of underwater spring production are in hand, they become a potential that could bridge the gap of water supply in the years to come.
